About Us
Established in 2011, The Second Pup began as a family-owned business and has grown into a trusted part of the Edmonton dog community. For over a decade, we’ve helped dogs feel safe, confident, and understood in a structured daycare environment.
We provide dog daycare, boarding, photography, training, and socialization services in Edmonton, including South Edmonton and surrounding areas. Our fun, yet structured approach is designed with your dog’s well-being in mind, giving them the space to safely socialize, build confidence, and simply exist around other dogs.
With two acres of outdoor space with many different areas for fun and enrichment, different sections with sandpits, K-9 turf, playground structures, tunnels, and of course lots of real grass to run and play! As well as 4,000 sq ft of indoor space and cozy, home-like setting.

Come to our structured socials instead, where you can see your dog interact and play with other friendly dogs of a similar size, age, and temperament. Understanding your dog's body language and emotions is crucial for effective communication. Our K-9 coaches will supervise the playtime, ensuring everyone has fun while maintaining safety for all.

At the Second Pup, we are passionate about our canine friends. We specialize in puppy socials and large field dog socialization. Reading your dog's body language and understanding how they feel is a super important part of communication. We love teaching dog body language at our socials.
